| In 1998, Bunge established itself in China as a trading operation of agricultural products for its Chinese customers. 2000 marked the founding of Bunge International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., providing soybeans to the Chinese market and assisting Chinese farmers and enterprises to export corn and wheat.
